His Word describes Jesus as the Son of Man and God who did die and defeated death. I know its hard to understand like lightning sprites and elves. and the phenomena which prompts your theories called gluons. And yes, God could have just magicly gotton rid of all of our sins, without the use of jesus, but no one would have learned thier lesson would they? Maybe you should look at religion and reality as subjective rather than one objective truth. If one truly believes in something then for all intensive purposes it becomes truth(within there own mind). Even if you present them with logic that clearly disproves it, that is not going to change there mind, that's because of this little thing called doublethink.
