SOG Flash II Review Part 1

The SOG Flash is a decent blade, but it is hampered from greatness by several less than impressive features.

The blade is too short for the handle, and for the price point. There are a variety of knives that offer more blade for the price, and more blade for the handle size.
The clip is excellent, buries deep, and disappears.
The jimping, or lack therof, is unimpressive.
Ergonomics suck. I just can't find a comfortable way to grip this knife, and I have no idea how the makers expected you to hold it. I can't find a way to hold it that doesn't fatigue my hand.
Opening speed is okay, but not impressive, especially for an assisted opening knife.

Overall, SOG is way too proud of this knife. For the price point, there are a number of other knives I prefer.

I like those knives. The first on is probebly the one I like most. I like simplicity :P

I think when they make knives, they should be long, and smooth. No bumps or indentations.
