The making of Balkan wars: the documentary, is based on conversations with theoricians and artists which they depict the multiplicity of the meanings related to the Balkan identity/ies, they examine the use and the content of the term of Balkanisation and finally they approach the definition of the modes of inclusion and exclusion in the European sphere, as a public sphere of bureaucracy and of relations of force, but also as a potential of communication and cooperation between the different peoples.

I'm Bulgarian! I'm proud of that! We respect our neighbours-Romania,Greece,Serb­ia,Turkey and mostly Macedonia because we have very tight historical, demographic and ethnical relationships with one another...In fact the Balkan countries are one big family and we shouldn't argue over some dumbass issues but unite and work for our future development as an important part of Europe!

 Then we'll be the center of the world, as Germany is the center of the Europe. We have been haveing such a strategical advantage, but unfortunately we have not been able to work for our own interest at first. But we have been tools of the Great Powers of the given times.

Hope someday we'll be educated enough to learn from our mistakes, and quit repeating them

I guess that a balkan union similar to the european union could work, but there are 2 things that would be necessary:

1) There would have to be at least 1 strong industrialised economy to assist the rest in growing. Any ideas?

2) Those of us that have joined the EU would have to leave.

As a result of the Balkan Wars, Greece gained southern Macedonia as well as the island of Crete. Serbia gained the Kosovo region and extended into northern and central Macedonia. Albania was made an independent state under a German prince. The political consequences of the wars were considerable. Bulgaria, frustrated in Macedonia, looked to Austria for support, while Serbia, which had been forced by Austria to give up its Albanian conquests, regarded Vienna with greater hostility than ever.
