  • Hey Gewarnick, Great Job!

I was hoping maybe u could help me out?

How did u chain the MIDI messages from Reactivison to Reaktor???

    thanks a lot.

    Trevor

  • Trevor, First you have to setup Reactivision for the MIDI interface. Then you have write you own midi assignments table to load. It's a .xml document. Then all you do for Reaktor is assign the fudical hfader, vfader and knob ctlin ID's.

    Good luck - Gary

  • Hey Gewarnick

I also started my own reactable.

I would like to know how did you made the cubes? Is it plexiglass? I don't find any company that provide somthing to make them.

Can you give me a clue, thank you.

    Regards,

    Vincent UK

  • Hi Vincent,

The cubes I made. I purchased a sheet of quarter inch hi-grade Plexi-glass and cut the material and fused the piece with a special bonding agent to form 2" cubes. They do look great! don't they? Really just use your creativity and look around swap meets, yard sales and gramma's house for knick knaks to attach fidical symbols to. Let me know it works out, Vincent

  • Hey Gewarnick

It's sounding good. I can only imagine the visual interface will emulate the audio?

If you could share some info?

I am working off a vista platform and having probs invoking reactivision. My syntax is:reactivision.exe -m midi\test.xml -midi-device 11 (midi device being midiyoke) However, reactivision will only invoke microsoft midi mapper no matter what device number I enter. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

    regards

    MashedUK

  • Hey M, On your Reactivision switches maybe try using: reacTIVision.exe --midi-device 10 -m yourfile.xml This is what I use for all my midi interfacing. I'm also using MidiYoke. Good Luck

  • @Masheduk: I have the same problem, kinda late for asking but did you solve the problem somehow?

  • Thanks a lot Gary.

  • Hi M,

I have been working very tediously on the visual feedback portion. I will upload some of the progress. I myself am not running Vista, yet.

  • The music you hear is my band, guys from work. I play electric bass and lead vocals! what a trip.....
