  • Thank you, Paradigm Penguin! Sadly, we've seen an increase in birds stuck on glue traps. We used to get maybe one a month. We've had about four just during the last couple of weeks.

Help spread the word not to use glue traps in any areas where birds can get stuck. Garages are the most common scenario - the doors are left open and birds fly in and get stuck.

You should maby read chemistry before you try to sound smart -.-'

I haven't even finished my studies at High school and I know that glue can be removed with normal white vinegar andwater.

They are probably useing something more effective than white vinegar but not strong enough to damage the bird.

  • That's awesome! Please remember that mice and rats are just as innocent and deserving of their life as this little bird. Good people never use glue traps.

  • @grimmdanger And yet you're here... complaining about people who have a heart. Take some of your own advice.

  • The chemicals to get them unstuck is probably poisonous and even more dangerous.

  • @SuperNumber19 You can use traps, just not glue ones 'cause they starve and rip their skin trying to get out and other animals that you don't intend to kill get stuck in them.

  • @grimmdanger They're not saying you can't use traps, they're saying don't use glue traps because a lot of animals get stuck in them other than mice and rats and the animals that do get stuck in the traps starve, or suffocate or rip their limbs and skin off trying to get out.

  • they'll wash it,clean it,get the glue off it, and it'll probably get caught again....

  • i thought it was an octopus at first.:)

  • @grimmdanger Killing animals is only humane if you need it to live, but killing for sport is just taking advantage of the fact that we're on the top of the food chain, and if you kill animals for fun it's cruel, I am fine if you're a hunter, as long as you eat the kill, that's completely natural. However killing a completely innocent bird that accidently managed to get stuck in a trap, created by humans to kill things like 30 times smaller than them, not for food, is wrong.

  • @IanBpa What is inhumane of killing animals again? Oh thats right because you have never eaten parts of a cow, pig, duck, lobster, crab, deer, fish, chicken, need I continue? Whats inhumane is deliberately torturing another living thing for no reason. Accidental occurrences should not be considered inhumane. You people really need to get a grip on reality. I think ima grab my 30-30 and shoot me some dinner this weekend for the hell of it. Big mac meal $8- Deer feast .75 cents. get bent peta!
