The EyeWriter is low-cost, eye-tracking glasses & free, open-source software that allows writers and artists with paralysis to draw and communicate using only their eyes.

In April 2009, The Ebeling Group, GRL, openFrameworks, and F.A.T Lab collaborated with Tony "Tempt" Quan legendary urban artist and ALS sufferer, to make the first prototype of the EyeWriter.

  • Respect! The open source approach is absolutely the best way to keep this idea within reach of everyone. Refreshing to see people with their hearts in the right place.

  • This is why the internet is so important. The sharing of ideas, plans, and designs that can really change the world and the lives to those in need. This NEEDS to happen! People helping people, not corporations milking insurance companies and individuals for all they can!
