Me and my daughters had swine flu. Not a big deal really. My younger daughter got a secondary ear infection so we did have to make a trip to the doctors but that was the worst of it. It was much milder than the seasonal flu I caught a few years back.

H1N1 is mainly killing people with pre-existing medical conditions. If you are healthy its just another flu. Which is why I will not get the vaccine. I can deal with the flu, but God only knows what that vaccine will do.

Dr said she would only require hospitalization if she has excessive vomiting and diarrhea.
She had no vomiting and minor diarrhea.
The only medicine she took was Tylenol for her fever and an Robitussin expectorant for her cough .
No prescription drugs were needed.
After 5 days of bed rest she was fine, she returned to work after 7 days.
I live with her and did not catch H1N1 because I kept my distance and she stayed mainly in her bedroom.

Hi Flask. I live in the USA. My girlfriend had flu-like symptoms so she went to the Dr.
The Dr took a swap of her mucus and sent it to the lab. 24 hours later he called her back and confirmed she had H1N1.
We later found out she caught it from a girl at work because several other people in her office were also infected.
Dr instructed her to rest and drink plenty of liquids (same treatment for any other flu).

and you should not balance you when your exprsssion is an attempt to reach balance in general, thank you for it is coming from your corner as well. What were your thoughts on my remark on what is happening in Eastern Europe? The Plague on the spot were it is going to hurt the European banks?

they are killing their staff so they cannot testify later!
UPDATE 11/11/09
Fascinating story and conspiracy theory about Joseph Moshe, alleged to be a whistleblower scientist jumped on by the authorities. Must-see article/videos, if only for the amazing arrest story.
See the more info box for a link.

Update; attn Webozzy.
The 12 year old son of someone I know here in Japan has spent the last 2 weeks in hospital, I hear. He remains there still.
Having contracted H1N1 and suffered 'a bad flu' for 2 days he was diagnosed and given the H1N1 medicine, following which he reacted badly and was swiftly admitted to the hospital. Now covered 100% in a rash and having severe breathing difficulties I am told.
I don't have too many details, just basic anecdote as outlined above.
Sounds rough on him.

Morgan Stanley gave theirs back. Just thought I'd point that out.

Yes, that's true. It was mentioned in the article.
Not sure why they gave it back - but maybe the story breaking was an incentive.

My girlfriend had H1N1 flu. She was in bed for 5 days but fully recovered. She did not require any prescription drugs. Her body fought it off just like any other flu.
Its not big deal. I will NOT be getting the vaccine.
Ill roll the dice with the flu, not the vaccination.
KEEP CALM AND CARRY ON!

Hi webozzy.
Glad to hear that your girlfriend has recovered ok.
Any more you can tell us would, I'm sure, be appreciated.
There is so much confusion about H1N1 and the vaccine - at least I am totally confused - that it is difficult knowing what to believe.
Can't beat a first-hand account for helping the issue to clear.
Thanks.
