Girl I love you. The revolution starts at home. You are doing great things. I have been looking for some militant family to dialogue with. Specially approaching 2012.

Now for those that say they won't talk about their children or reject them, well as mothers, you're not supposed to, so I understand. That's the father's job to be cold like that, but would you not bash your kids for bringing home a wild animal as a pet? What about bringing home drugs or bad grades? For all 3 examples, yes you would. You'd get in that az and explain to them life will be harder if they don't get back on track. Its the same with mating. Once again, good job, lovely sister.

In spite of this situation, Queen, you are hilarious. I was feeling you on this. I have no kids, but as one, my mother told me to not bring home a white girl. She didn't have to worry about it, but it was reinforcement for when I became independant.
I'm an upstart teacher now and can see myself being asked these questions by my kids. All I can do to combat the nonsense is lead by example...but any son/daughter in law that i get, better look like my son or daughter. Period.

@OnixIsis iight sis, that's all i was saying,because we tend to try to send negative energy to kids ,because we dislike a opinion/choice they made.That's how my mother was with me, if i said something she disagree with, then she didnt want to hear anymore, it was time for me to shut up.I never got to really tell how i feel about certain things, especially about religion. Because it was automatically"i dont agree with you shut up"lol momma didnt play dat. I think we just need to listen sometimes

you have to understand that the point in which Black women's oppressions was most affirmed was when white men focibly inserted his penis into her vagina. Prior to so doing he had to subdue the Black man. Thus, BW/WM unions are symbolic of the oppression of ALL Black people!
This is an historical fact but (like ya typical Jewish Holocaust denier) you are more than welcome to deny this very obvious fact!
Just saying.

:-) I don't think i ever said you agreed with it either. I also never said that I would cut my baby off or berate her. She's of me and I aint handing her over to the jackal unless she got a grenade clip in her mouth. lol.

@OnixIsis lol sis i never said i agree with interracial dating, matter a fact i don't even like it myself, i feel that it takes away from the black family structure. But everybody don't think like i do. So if my daughter or son happens to bring a different race home, ill be disappointed but i'm not going to cut them off or bash them because i know how things are here in America, they watch these shows, go to these universities talking about this love shit and it plays its part on their mind.
People are going to say " you need to do this" and" we need to do that" with our kids . But its 2011 man and we in a multicultural society you not going to stop these kids from liking what they like.I prefer black women , but if my children date outside then im not going to say "you bet not bring this or that race in my house" Because it not going to do nothing but push these children away.And create a divide in your family when they get old enough to leave and do they own thing

@RealismOfLife
contd 3...It is my belief that until white people truly have accountability to their continued role in the oppression of people of color namely African people and not just make a biological statement, there can never be a color blind love. And if my baby does bring home a white boy, best believe there will be struggle with dude around that very notion unless he is doing the work he needs to do. -end

Thanks for sharing. I have an 11 year old, and yeah there is ssomething very diffrent about these young ones these days. Many of them are very astute.
Question: We know about some people falling in love with the inner person and all of that jazz but you and I know that in many cases (probably most) there is a deeper underlying reason why those brothers get white women. Have you ever though about discussing with her the dynamics of why so many brothers may be dating white women?
