I saw Michael in one of his rare concerts earlier this year and he is still a magnificent composer and performer. If you get a chance to see him, grab it.
I HAVE A FAVOUR TO ASK. I first heard Michael with my now wife in Fort Lauderdale's Musician Exchange - I didn't know he sang Bluer than Blue, which I didn't really care for. But when he sang That's That I knew I was in front of a great composer - when I went back to Canada I tried to buy his CDs on line.
You are so right usrt. I'm not a daddy, I might vote, and I go to bed drunk (usually having played this song at least once) but he got to me. Message beautifully conveyed...as you said...BRILLIANT!
I have two cds recorded live from Minnesota's Orchestra Hall. 1982 and 1984. They were simulcasted on the radio those years. They are my favorite cds. I was at the shows and had a friend record them off the radio. It is all just like this.

This just connects with every 40+ family man who is thinking about the one that got away.
Way cool.
