Appalachian Voices, a grassroots environmental group in North Carolina, has educated millions of people, inluding policy-makers and legislators, about the destructive mining process called 'mountaintop removal' by flying people over the 470 mine sites in Appalachia in Google Earth.

The "Community Organizer" states that MTR "leaves behind a toxic moonscape that no living thing can survive on". This is a blatant lie. Straight up. Federal law requires reclamation and they know this, but they won't show you or tell you that part in their video. Former MTR sites are used for industrial and community uses, Farms, airports, ponds and wildlife preserves. Beautiful golf courses with stunning mountain vistas are made. Deer and Elk love hanging around former mine sites. Why would an
