My mom bought me the 45 when I was baby and she would play this for me and sing it to me. God bless you mom - I lost her 7/22/03 - I miss you singing this to me.

Dad used to sing this song to me as a kid. We lost Dad on 11-06-2009. Thanks Dad for everything. You are the greatest man I ever known. We will always love you.

I was named after this song. My mom was 8 months pregnant with me with no idea what to name me until she heard this song on the radio.

Yes, they do grow to fast, I have five children and I do not know where the years went. My oldest will be 40 this year and the youngest just turned 29 . Love this song has a lot of meaning to it. Watch them grow.

In 1970 the man I had just met and did not even know that he was to be my husband, told me when we were listening to this song " that is going to be my son's name" and 8 years later it was. so I love this song for my son and my late husband. It brings back a lot of good memories.

Neither one of my boys are named Scotty and they are in their 20's and 30's now, but this one really hits home. Great song about what is really important. They grow in a hurry!
