  • ¿Estuvo ahí Peter Ueberroth?

  • @halkon21 Si

  • Is there a complete video of the opening and closing ceremony? I was too young to remember it. :(

  • @antdude Yes, there is and it may very well be available online somewhere. Sorry for the delay in posting but I rarely log in to YouTube.

  • @lowdowncentral I wonder where...

  • one of the best times of my life! I was a placard bearer for Peru and I remember we all just laid down on the grass because the fireworks went on forever. I too would like to know where a complete video is to be found of the entire opening ceremonies. I have never seen myself coming into the stadium.

  • The '84 fireworks started out where the best firework displays end - with a massive wall of fireworks. I thought, "Well, how are you going to climax, Peter (Ueberroth)? You've started with the most you'll put in the air at one time." Was I wrong. I'll say the last full minute was almost indescribable. Without exaggeration, each second must have had more than what a full July 4th display in a big city has. It was unbelievable. My respect for Peter tripled when I realized what he was doing.

  • It was a very nice event. Our International Children's Choir (from Long Beach) performed at this event.

  • I wish I was born to see one of the BEST OLYMPICS EVER. We need to bring it back home again! LA2020!
