@sigma1920HD I look forward to it. A few years ago I had two female moths eclode in captivity and they immediately laid their unfertilized eggs and then died. I felt so sorry for them.

What a busy chappy. I visited a silk factory in Shanghai 2 years ago, but they did not have any live larvae, so this is very interesting. His long "snout" reminds me of your Elephant Hawk Moth caterpillar whose final instar is 80-85 mm. I have one overwintering in his cocoon in my porch.

ive just learnt the technique of interval shots and i like that very much.
but my old camera (canon powershot) finally broke with the mechanical shutter during the endurance... :(
btw, i have some interesting sequels to show u later.
a beautiful female moth emerged from this cocoon.
she released sexual pheromone just after the eclosion.
then she began to lay a cluster of unfertilized eggs in captivity.
im gonna release a vid series of those behaviours.
