wow! great video/tutorial. My mind is spinning with ideas! I just ordered a YOURstory from HSN..the personal size. Perhaps I missed it, but what didn't you cut paper down to size before you assembled book? And I was wowed with your paper cutter! Hummm....may have to add one of those to my toys!

can you tell me what type of glue gun stick to use? i have high temp and low temp glue guns and sticks. what would work the best high or low temp glue stick? also do you know what mil you can use when you laminate with that device? 3 mil, 5 mil, 7 mil, or 10 mil? and what is width of the largest piece you can laminate?

or it probly has a thing to see how much paper is in it
Thanks for this awsome idea! I just got my yourstory yesterday. I can't find any bookcovers I wonder if they still sell them? Doesn't matter now :) we can make our own. Have you tried using chipboard covers?

This vid rocks and to M916cruz, yes they sell them, the covers, everywhere. Michael's Joanne 's Richard's, Walmart. and online.
But they get grabbed up fast. I confess, I am one of those who buys 5-7 at at time. (sorry) but I love this vid too because it gives so many options! yay for options great vid.

Yes, I still see them, but they're kind of -- cheezy and ugly. They're plastic, with that sort of linen texture on them, but you'll never be fooled into thinking they're anything but plastic. Black, white, and brown? I mean, COME ON.

As for chipboard covers, I have made a couple. My fav was when I made a spine and two covers, fused the spine to the bookblock (using some tearaway paper around it to be sure the glue didn't seep), then using linen hinge tape to hinge the front and back chipboard covers to the spine. Looks pretty classy!
