Shine On Me

Written early 2004 in a hotel room on South Padre Island. It's a place I go to several times a year to get away. I spend time in prayer, reflection, bible reading.....and yes singing to the Lord. Some of my other songs were written at various times on the island. Anyway, here are the words:

Search me oh God, & know my heart
show me how holy, holy You are

I want to please You, in all I do and say
things in me that don't please You
please take them away

Thanks. When my band broke up in early 2002 I was quite bummed out. Main members moved away. But without a drummer and backup singer I started trying to add to the songs, and this style was born. Maybe I'll start JesusfreaksRus again with new members one day.
