\Nice playing btw.. perfect guitar for this style of blues/rock soloing.

Crazy good playing! I own a the standard Viking and can only recommend it as a very versatile instrument. It handles anything from jazz to hard-rock.

I just bought A 1968 Hagstrom Viking II today with the period correct Bigsby. Crazy beautiful guitar. I'm gonna have to practice my very best smug look for this baby!!!. Great demo by the way.

Beautiful guitar, could you tell me where I might get one and a rough price they go for please Matt? Been a big fan of yours since late 90's when I first got a pc and downloaded a track you did called Certain Blues, Great playing dude....

Matt, can you point me to where I can find that backing track? I am trying to teach myself and can sure use the accompaniment. If you can, and don't mind. By the way, your playing has influenced me to purchase the Hagstrom Deluxe (w/tremar). Cool grooves.

great playing Mattuk.....how is the sustain on this baby? Sounds damn good. Can you feel the vibrations through the body as one does playing an acoustic? Also. how is the feedback controlability? I mean I like playing around with feedback when i want it (Peter Buck of R.E.M. and/or Pete Townsend effects :))....Otherwise I think I'd just get a solid body Tele.

@geridg The guitar sustains very well and you can feel vibrations through the neck and body. Feedback is not a problem as there is a centre block which keeps it under check. However if you want a bit of feedback I find leaning towards the amp enables the back of the guitar to start the feedback chain and in a quite controllable way! That said it's a very different guitar to your alternative a Tele!

I'm used to les pauls but when I got this I adapted fairly instantly playing standing up. Sitting to play can make you arm ache after a couple of hours ! It's quite well balanced on the strap. About the same weight as a Strat a little lighter than a LP. Hope this helps.
