'speshul'?
Dear god what are you? 4?
And graciejockey101 is completely right, who are you to criticise her on what she wishes to teach her pony?! (who is beautiful btw, always wanted a Fjord!) If she wants to teach her pony to play frickin scrabble it's non of your business! All she's doing is showing what she and Taco have accomplished! How is teaching him to rear being immature? Have you seen the Andalausian Stallions in the Spanish riding school?Go tell those guys they're immature!

How do you teach a pony to rear
-
@magnetxxella Look at his ears, they are not pinned back. Also, if you look closely, it's a wave near his shoulder.... Btw pretty horse! :)

He's beautiful, not stressed in any way, watching his trainer alertly for his cue, this is cooperation and trust between human and horse. It does happen y'know!
-
You named your fjord taco? That's so cute :)
-
Rearing is NOT fun >.>

@magnetxxella stop thinking you know it all ass hole. Theyt gave it a treat after he did it so stop complaining. If the horse was frightened it would have ran away
shut it you gimp!

@magnetxxella so your telling me if i was to do anything to my horse that he found threatening he would stay by my seid for a piece of apple? he might find it annoying or whatever but threatening is just stupid.
if you look carefully, the "on command" is waving a whip below his face. it is true holding a whip beneathe a horse is often used to create a levade, however this is used among many other aids. your "command" is actually seen as a form of attack, and so the horse uses an instinctual reaction. its not a trick, its nature - and what happens if its next owner happens to be carrying a whip in the wrong way?

@magnetxxella, I'm not waving a whip below his face.
The video is not very clear but I wave the whip beside his right shoulder.
Also I use a voice command.
He never rears when I only wave my whip or only use my voice.
I have to combine these command.
I can tell you as much as I want but if you don't believe it I really don't care but he NEVER rears out of itself.. even not when he's playing in the yield.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
It's nothing about having a 'speshul bond' with your horse - you're teaching him potentially dangerous behaviour, either for yourself or for the next person to own him. What were you trying to prove or achieve anyway? Why not train him to do something useful like half-passes or flying lead changes instead of something 'showy' and immature?

@capri30, Taco already knows the half passes and de flying changes ;) So no need to learn him that again.
