Now you know how to make music like the big boys. I show you the simplest redstone music maker and how to make music in minecraft with note blocks.
Hopefully you like the songs in the video as well, jump to around 8:40 to get to the music

  • This is used for simple 1/8 rhytmics. What about having mixed rhytm like 1/8, 1/16, 1/16... Well the question is can you make notes play as fast as 1/16?

  • @AryxProductions not with this model. This video is fairly old (before repeaters were released) and now you can make a much simpler and compact redstone model that is much faster. I don't know the exact tempo but you can replicate near "through fire and flames" speed with noteblocks firing 16th notes. If you watch some of my recent videos I'm sure you can get a feel for how fast you can play notes. Essentially 1 per game tick wich is close to 1/16 at 120bpm

  • can you make somthing that repeats?????

  • @TheDrkanimator I take it that you did not watch this video *facepalm* don't comment on videos you don't watch... I MAKE a repeated song in this video, mortal combat...

  • Hey, I'm pretty new to sound blocks, but I have a quick question:

(my music theory is a little rusty)

If I wanted to do 8 measures of 16th notes at a tempo of (roughly) 70bpm, 4/4 time, do you think it would fit under a cave that is no bigger than 30x30?

I have a project in mind that I plan on getting to after a few others.

  • @Subv3rt in absolutely no way would that be possible. Through fur and flames is 16th notes and you can see how huge that is in this video. Can't tell if you are just trolling but if you want to hide a song, follow the design in thee beginning of the vid with 8th notes. 16th is just not plausible

  • Do you think you could upload the .SCHEMATIC files to a website? (mcschematics website is a good one) I think so many people would learn so much from your work, not only in Minecraft but also about music outside of the game!

(In case you have never heard of it, which I'm sure you have because of the flat land you have, a .schematic file is made by using MCEdit and allows others to easily import things, like your songs). Awesome work!

  • Wow, the redstone repeaters make this video look like crap... but I love it! I used it at that time in beta and I still love it! I love Notch for putting those in!
