Previously unable to side view fish in the pond. The open bottom tank allow fish to move up above the pond. Now you can have a very good view of your fish and monitor their health.

WHITE SPOTS IN FISH
When your fish are afflicted by ick, small white spots appears on their bodies. The parasites burrow into the skin of their victim to feed on blood and dead cells. This causes the skin of the fish to swell and produce cysts which appear as white spots.
Infected fish may scratch against rocks or gravel in an effort to get relief from the irritation.
After feeding for a week, these noxious critters mature, then dig their way out of the host body and sink to the bottom of the aquarium.
Soon after it settles onto the substrate, the ick secretes a soft, jellylike membrane which encloses it. Within this protective cocoon, the organism rapidly divides into hundred of baby parasites know as tomites. Once the tomite mature, they leave the membrane in search of new host bodies and the vicious circle renews itself. Unless effective remedy is swiftly undertaken, ick will continue to grow and proliferate.
It is during this stage that the swimming parasites are searching for new host that they are vulnerable to medication. Once they are burrowed their way into a fish, they are well protected from chemicals.

OTHER SOLUTION FOR TREATMENT
Raising the water temperature can be an effective remedy, especially when combined with other treatments. If the fish you keep can withstand heat, raised the water temperature above30 degreeC this temperature is generally fatal to ick. Otherwise, youll have to combine heat treatment with medication.
Unless the water temperature is raised beyond the parasites tolerance level of 30 degree C, heat will actually speed up its reproduction cycle. So if you are unable to raise the temperature above this level, youve got to include medication as part of the treatment.
Because heat can accelerate the icks reproduction cycle, the parasite will exit their host bodies more quickly, thus exposing themselves to the chemicals that can kill them off. It is therefore important that you medicate the water continuously for at least 10 to 14 days to ensure that all parasites are killed.
If the disease is spotted early and effective treatment applied promptly, there is a good chance that the fish will live through the ordeal. However, once the disease has reached the advance stage, chances of keeping your fish is reduced.

EFFECTIVE MEDICATION AGAINST ICK
Malachite green, Mepracrine hydrochloride, Methylene blue and Guinine hydrochloride.

  • I understand the vaccum concept that keeps the water in place however how do you aerate the tank? If you run the air pump to oxygenate the tank, would the same air supply rises to the top of the tank negating the vacuum effect? How does this thing works?? Reply please. Thanks

  • Watch the video on AIR REPLACEMENT. Thank you for your interest

  • Thats a cool tank! But it will suck if some Jack*** came by and threw a rock or something at it.

  • It's 100% not impossible.

Go fill something with water, and then take a glass or jar and put it under the water.

Next, keeping it upside down and level, pick up the glass or jar.

There is no air to replace the water, if the only entrance to the jar is underwater. Try it.
