To celebrate the 30th anniversary of MTV, all four SiriusXM '80s on 8 hosts - the original MTV VJs - got together to reminisce about the early days of Music Television. But there was some controversy over who was the first VJ. Find out when your favorite original VJ is on the air on '80s on 8 here: http://www.siriusxm.com/80son8 .

I felt very awkward watching this. It's as if I was on a double date and the other couple was fighting, but trying to play it off as a play fight and no one was believing it. I could have it all wrong, but perception is reality to the viewer/listener. There are far better radio talents out there, Sirius. Please find them!!

If you're fascinated with the history of MTV, the veejays are great. For the rest of us who want to be entertained with the music of the '80s and the radio jocks who made it great, it's a swing and a miss. The veejays make it too much about them and not at all about where "I" was and what was going on in my life back then. I'd love to hear Terry Young and talents like that playing the '80s I knew and loved. I hope someone at Sirius/XM gets that someday. Then I might re-subscribe.

@rogueone4now Ok to clear this all up, Mark Goodman hosted the first five hours. What they are talking about is there was a 30 second "introduction" from each VJ and these were to be played when MTV was first on air. Well, since all the video tapes had to be installed manually, these introductions were put in after the first run of videos, and the intros were mixed up. Goodman of course was supposed to be first, but Hunter ended up going first. Thats about as plain as it can be explained

This is great!!! Thank you for posting!!! It's great to see them still getting along after all these years when so many other groups have animosity among themselves. Nina and Martha are timeless/ageless in their beauty and Mark and Alan still have their wit! I miss The Man, tho...JJ...I know he is looking down on this and smiling big!!
