Sapphire Technology comes back with an upgraded version of their HD4870 Toxic Edition, this time with 1 GB of GDDR5 memory. NOTE: To clarify in the video where it is mentioned about the vapour chamber being in the aluminum heatsink, it is actually all in the copper module in the middle, then the aluminum heatsinks and heatpipes take the heat away from the vapour chamber surface and the memories. Part 2 of the review will involve benchmark results both temperature cooling and gaming benchmarks. Stay tuned.

honestly, if you are good with hardware, if you want the best you are way better off getting a reference card and putting on a really nice GPU cooler.

which one is better
4890 Toxic edition 1 GB or evga gtx 275 896 mb ? i have a 19" monitor...
should i buy the standard one...or should i buy the OC version..is there any difference..
i mean i can OC(over clock) the card my self..
or is there any difference between ..standard sapphire 4890..and the toxic edition
MrSlive3r 2 years ago
@MrSlive3r , they are very close, however at higher resolutions the 4890 overclocked will do better.
