If you were to fight hordes of zombies and you had an assault rifle, would you use that or your fists and feet?
If you have the will to live you probably would pick the assault rifle. Same with Sonic. He goes up against all kinds of crap. He could fight with his feet and fists but he knows for a fact that his spin dash and homing attacks are more powerful so he uses them instead.

you know being a fan of sonic and playing 90% of his games i have never seen sonic in any show fight with his hands and feet. call me crazy but trully i wonder if he could fight.
