@SmithC07 What wasn't so widely known was before this incident there was another incident that happened at night around Pearce-Ford Tower where someone fired shots into the air, but no mass text messages or alarms were sounded for it. Only a day or so later was the incident confirmed in the campus newspaper, and the department responsible for warning students took a beating in the paper. This incident was still fresh on many minds when the lockdown incident came about.
I'm just glad the situation wasn't too serious. I mean, in all honesty any confrontation is serious, but yes one thing we students try to push out of our mind is the fact that, not just on but off campus, you could be taking your last steps of life. It is a reality that is harsh, but true. So live life to the fullest, not in a sorority/fraternity house wasted, but, as the army slogan goes, be all you can be. Live to your full potential. And in my case, love God with all your heart and soul.
i live in the county below wareen county and when i first heard about this crap i thought it was another VT but it just turned out to be people who got in a fight and then someone called in saying there was shots fired. it was not a big deal at all but the police still did a good job on lockin down.

I feared for my life, fucked up in class, and even started crying. All due to students not getting shit right. I hate this shit.
