Thanks, Trev! You are indeed "The Man!" Question: The filter looks like a "regular" cylindrical filter, but my dealer told me it was a cartridge filter? WTF...??? The dealerships scare me because they don't even seem to know or care that 2.0T owners should be using 5W-40 (full synthetic) as opposed to 20 or 30 weight.

As I was inspecting my wife's new 2011 Hyundai Sonata, I also noticed this oddity. I was more than curious as to why there was so little light shining from below when looking at the motor from above, so I poked my head underneath and that was when I saw the plastic sheeting across the entire engine compartment. Pretty chic for a Hyundai...

Thanks for taking the time to put it on the web.

Why did they move the oil filter to under the car? My 2006 has the oil filter under the hood for easier access.

Thanks for your video, Is the sump plug that nut next to the oil Filter? I m looking to change my oil between the services so I can keep the engine cleaner.

Was that a bit of oil (leak?) on the bottom of the filter?

How many quarts of oil do you need?

wow Great series of vids man, Im hoping to pick up an SE myself very soon. You are very thorough with you videos. I must say that the location of the oil filter has got to be the easiest access Ive ever seen on a vehicle.
