  • Will it work on complete ACL tears??

  • No unfortunately it cannt reconnect the ACL. Sorry. If there is damage to other structures in your knee it would be helpful for over all knee stabilization and recovery. Also to consider after surgery to speed healing.

  • What's the success rate?

  • @st0rmwolf It will Heal Partial Tears I had PRP to my knee last week. I have a Partial ACL tear. PRP will make the acl grow stronger an thicker. PRP will not work for full tears.

  • I tore my meniscus about a year and a half ago, would this treatment still work on that old of an injury? I am 45 yrs. old and used to run, I would like some of those days back, so I am very interested in this therapy / treatment. Please tell me this actually works!!! I'm older, but not dead!

  • Is the procedure covered by insurance?

  • can prp be injected to the pcl? my mri just recently revealed that i had a grade 2 tear in my pcl.

  • Are there any good articles on how this therapy is supposed to work? Why isn't whole blood injected into the joint? Would it be a good idea to use this therapy with human growth hormone and analogous stem cells like Regenexx does? Where is the proof that this therapy works? Please refer me to some studies. From what I have heard, the best way to determine that a joint therapy is working is by looking at MRI scans. Is that right?

  • This was discovered 14 years ago by a swedish DR called Kristopher, who mysteriously disappeared... go figure...

  • Hello John, How are your patients going with PRP months down the track. Have there been any documented MRI or arthroscopic improvements?

  • What about partial ACL tears?
