The Samsung Intercept by Virgin Mobile is a mid-ranged no-contract phone
The phone itself is $250 only available at target. However plans start at $25 a month for unlimited data and 300 minutes to unlimited everything at $60.
Design:
The phone is 0.6 inches thick which is a little thick however it feels natural in the hand. The plastic on the back feels soft to the touch. The keyboard slides out with ease, even with only one hand. It is 4.4 x 2.2 inches making pretty standard in size for a smart phone.
Screen:
On the front of the phone is a 3inch 400 by 240 pixel LCD touch display. The resolution is something people complain about but I find it very easy to read, even small letters, and pictures look fine. The touch screen has a nice feel to it and is plenty responsive. Indoors this display handles light fine, but outside it is kind of washed out in sunlight.
Keyboard:
This keyboard is awesome. It is must for texting or typing anything. The keys are spacious and have a nice feel to them. There beautifully labeled with a strong back light for typing in the dark. The only problem I had is the bottom row is like this: Z|X|C|V|Space|B|N|M, which throws me off a little, however after a day or two I got used to this.
Other Buttons/Ports:
The front panel only has 3 real buttons, one is the call button which will bring up the phone at anytime. There is also an end call/sleep/power button. There is a track pad that you can push in to select. I don't like this track pad because it isn't very sensitive unless you run your whole thumb across it, but then you accidentally hit the home button or the undo button.
There are four touch buttons which vibrate when you push them so you feel like you are pushing a real button. I use all of these all the time. They are Menu, Home, Back, and Search.
On the side you have a camera and volume control buttons. I have never accidentally pushed these.
It has a charge/sync port on the top, and a micro SD card slot on the side, which supports up to 32 GB. There is a standard 3.5mm audio jack on the side which is handy because you don't need to go out and by any special headphones.
It also has blue tooth, which is nice.
Android:
This is great because you have access to the android market which has over 70,000 apps.
It runs on version 2.1 and I don't know it they will be releasing an update for 2.2 or not.
its a little big thick...I like the feel...It's nice and soft.I like that because I have it in my hand all the time..it's not small tho..it looks great feels great..not too fat..it's not very senstive?..its handy I use it all the time..Ill search for eggs.. .... anyone else remotely concerned about this!??

@terren42 That is so rude of you. He's only trying to help. If you don't like the video, turn it off. I'm so sick of Americans being so rude to each other. My goodness, it's video about a cell phone for crying out loud.
