@RondoRaven Well, they could've had speakers in the soundproof booths that would've done the same thing, but I think the headphones, because of the "visual effect," were used rather than a speaker (that no one would see on camera).

@wannawatchu66 good answer! that totally plugs all the holes

@RondoRaven That was the only way they could hear anything.

hmm wonder why the contestants are all wearing headphones?

No it's about 50 minutes to one hour in length. I remember seeing this on PBS and remembered it being an hour or close to it.

I'm writing a research paper on this topic and found this video, is it really only about 4 mins? Does anyone have any other sources that may be of some help?
Thanks! :)

I agree. Many times the movie adaptations of these things are filled with inaccuracies and should not be relied upon. I won't even watch the movie "Quiz Show" or other films that tamper with the actual facts behind people, places or events for those reasons.
The allegations that Herb Stempel had made started to make more sense when a contestant on a lesser known and short lived show, "Dotto", came forward with a book of answers as proof the show was fixed. That's when the investigations into other shows were taken more seriously.
