On July 8, 2002 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, during an episode of RAW, Kevin Nash along with Xpac, Big Show, Chris Benoit, and Eddie Guerrero took on opponents Booker T, Goldust, Bubba & Spike Dudley, & Rob Van Dam in a 10-Man Tag Team match.

When Nash had the upper hand on Booker T in the ring, he took a moment to sneak attack Booker's tag partners. That small step was all it took for Nash to tear his quadriceps muscle and collapse in the ring.

The match ended with Shawn Michaels clearing the ring, grabbing the mic and challenging Triple H to a match, all while Kevin Nash was being attended too and taken out via stretcher.

Nash was hoping to return to that year's Royal Rumble pay-per-view but wouldn't make his return until nearly 6 months later on April 7, 2003 when he showed up on RAW to stare down Triple H.

  • If there's a quad tear somewhere in the world, you know Kevin Nash isn't far behind.

  • This was his first match back since his last torn quad. I actually liked this version of the nWo and it was ended because of him

  • See Nash, this is what happens when you laugh at people who take arrows to the knee.

  • The reason he started getting knee issues in the first place is he is a giant size man. He is almost 7ft, and almost build like Lou Ferrigno. That is a lot of weight to move on a giant frame, and his knees have to take all of that. Bigger animals have a higher risk of injury moving themselves around. Simple physics.

  • Nash wears protective braces, and protective wrap, and neoprene supports on both knees, and had been doing so at the time this was filmed. That evening he was not planning to perform, and left his knee protective gear at his hotel. WWE asked him to perform, so he figured "meh...what are the chances that I get injured in just ONE match without the equipment?!" Looks like 100%. Since then he has never gone into the ring without that knee gear on. Tough lesson to learn.

  • Wtf? No sound?

  • *fan

  • I'm a Nash but why would WWE book him in a ladder match after this has happened?

  • just wish he would go away hobody cares about nash but nash

  • triple h and kevin nash shud form a new group nd call it quad tear
