I am no savior, I am no saint,
and this war-torn world
is never quite what it seems.
We lose our minds to keep our bodies sane,
we silence our voices to keep
keep our wallets filled and our souls locked in chains.
We're searching for the answers,
but can't see past our mistakes.
If this continues, will we ever find the way?

When the sun dies,
and the earth goes black,
will it be too late
for us to realize that all we ever needed
was inside of us?

I stayed up one restless night
to ease my hopeless mind,
and on a late-night talk show
was a dying man giving his advice.

I thought I had it all, but lacked
the one that I loved most.

But now I finally realize with my time so near
that all I really want at the end is to have her here."
