I didn't play the Master System version of Outrun until 2011, so I am not nostalgic for it. But the fact I was able to enjoy it as much as I did is a testament to the extremely high quality of the original 1986 music, graphics and gameplay. Yu Suzuki can rest peacefully knowing he made such a amazing game.

One of my worst choice in my life when I bought the nintendo!!! Gosh!! I loved so much outrun, space harrier , hang on, after burner and my fucking cousin and the saleswoman influenced me to buy the fucking nes!!! I wanted sega so badly!!! this game looked so good when you see other 8 bit conversion: I used to have an amstrad!!

I remember back then I bought the Master System for OutRun. Was very disappointed and thought: "Is that all? Can't this machine do better?" The SMS can. Look at games like R-Type, Zillion, California Games, (which was as a game better than the Mega Drive version), Sonic the Hedgehog, they even made a passable Road Rash adaption.

Excellent playthrough. OutRun is my favorite racing game series, and this SMS port didn't disappoint. In fact, the SMS version of Magical Sound Shower, my favorite song from the game, brings a tear to my eye.

to bad i never had a SMS at that time. i had the commodore 64, also a superb games computer at that time, but this outrun is just so much better than the commodore version :-D thanks for showing.

I never knew about this game until recently, but this does bring back memories of playing Rad Racer on my older brother's NES. Man, my generation's games suck compared to you older guys' stuff.
