I just got mine 2 days ago, the pads are great, really like them. I also just got a novation SL MKII and have been trying to set them both up with Live 8 (I have no idea what I am doing). I don't exactly have much experience, but I can say that I love it, the pads feel really good at the default settings and I am having a lot of fun with it, even though I have no idea how to do anything in Live.

what do you think of the response for the pads on the MPD18? Also did you have difficulty setting it up at first (Sync, Buffer etc.. all that shit)?
