Cuando me compré Sgt. Peppers, en el Jurásico o por ahí, me fui corriendo a casa para escucharlo. Impaciencia pura. Llegué, puse el tocadiscos. Empieza Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band, sigue With a little help from my friends... Bien, ya las había escuchado antes y me gustaban mucho, pero la magia de verdad empezó con la guitarra de Gettig better. Es verdad que a partir de ahí todo va a mejor. Qué disco, qué recuerdos. Aún hoy me emociona escuchar esa guitarra. Te alegra el día.

Esta canción nace de la frase del baterista que reemplazo a ringo (se encontraba enfermo), Jimmy Nicol, cuando le preguntaban en broma al baterista como se encontraba de salud y como el era timido solo respondia "it's getting better" solo sabia decir eso, tanto asi que paul se le quedo en la mente y le hacia mucha gracia recordarlo y en una primavera se acordo de el y de la frase para despues crear esta innovadora y linda cancion de aquel entonces
