If you have found the collection of leatherwork videos helpful and would like to send me a small donation there are details on how you can do so as well as info on the videos here:

http://ianatkinson.net/leather/videos.htm

There is now an updated 1h40min version of this project available here:

This is a video of me making a multi-carry bushcraft sheath for a Fallkniven F1, showing the process from start to finish as well as an explanation of the carrying options.

  • Your work is excellent, and the idea of sharing your skills through these videos is great. I'm a total novice so, although I love your choice of music I sometimes find it hard to follow what you're doing without an explanation. I'll watch the rest of your videos though in the hope of understanding further.

  • @CarajilloDulce The longer videos explain everything but as you can see they're 1-1.5 hours, I don't have time to make every video that long and detailed!

  • will it make a difference if you left it to dry on its own rather than putting it in the oven?

  • @no9scrum yes, rapid drying is what gives it the rigid structure (if that's what's desired), if it dries on its own it will be squashy and flexible

  • Awesome video!! Thanks for sharing your art. Where did you learn that craft? Did you go to a leather working trade school?

  • @TacticalTupperware I am self taught, I doubt there are any 'leather working trade schools' in the UK!

  • Beautiful work. Congratulations

  • Excellent video, by far the best leatherworking instructional video I've seen.

  • Damn dude you're a boss. Looks like making a leather sheath can be just as time consuming as the actual knife.

  • @tonesparkle The Lions - Girl From the North Country
