This scene is one which sticks in my mind. Probably because it demonstrates how evil people try to "use" God for their own ends, and good people "lean" on him in order to cope with the evil. Whatever the reason, it is a GREAT scene, and the two actors are outstanding in it.
I know I like this movie and I think it's the only time I've heard a hymn sound creepy. But I don't don't thing it was the mob they were running form the mob, But reporters and nosy people who gossip. I think. but I could be wrong.
