This is not your usual Vietnam War history chronicle. Sure there's the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution, Khe Sahn, Hue, Ia Drang, napalm (with all its ugliness), LBJ's "I will not Seek" speech and a little spice of Agent Orange thrown in. I really didn't want to use Eve of Destruction, appropriate as it is but neither Alice's Restaurant nor Saigon Girl were available.
As for the choice of the song "Groovin'"- that was intentional. I wanted to illustrate just how horrible and absurd the war was. Don't worry- I never delete comments.
