Our male Golden Pheasant is over a year old now, he's no longer drab and brown he's changing colour by the day and will very soon have his beautiful adult plumage.

  • You should make a video diary of the changes in his plummage every so often..nice colouring.

  • @RedanWhiteRebel I may well do, I tried posting this as a response to my earlier pheasant video but it didn't work out and now the option is gone. Never mind I'll take a few more vids and put a slideshow together maybe?

  • Lovely colourful bird. The thing I could never understand is why some people hand-rear pheasants, only to release them for the shooting season. By then the poor birds are almost tame, and if you really wanted to you could almost catch them by hand. I never could see how pheasant shooting could be called a ''sport''

That's why Ihave great admiration for people like you, myjugs, who rear these beautiful creatures for the pure pleasure of caring for them.
