@HolyknightVader999 Yes and when Jews would not convert at the numbers he wanted, they dropped the whole "you have to be Jewish first" and started preaching to Gentiles. Then they dropped the requirement for the laws of kashrut, Shabbos and...well just about everything so it really does not matter that jesus was a Jew or the first pope was born a Jew. When he first believed jesus died for him, he became a xtian.

The moralities of some religions are based on the belief in a false talking masculine creator, whom anyone can claim to have His words. At least an atheist is not claiming that the voices in his/her head are from an infallible god.

Boteach is helpless. He says "law is arbitrary" as if that's some unique revelation, or as it's negative.
If we DIDN'T reject the morality of primitive religious texts and substitute our arbitrary and superior laws . . . we'd still be stoning homosexuals, forcing rape victims to marry their rapists, stoning disobedient children, etc. etc.
Can one actually state that the law of the Old Testament is superior to our modern laws without looking like a fool, or at least barbaric?

"Washington was like taking the vow... becomming a friar...." -- Hitchens not only has an incredible historical vocabulary, but he funny as hell! Hard to debate against someone with so many tools at his disposal.
