  • @ErnestoLS lol the f1 engine internals have really small tolerances, especially when the engine is cold, the piston will not be able to move man. This is why the engine needs to be fed with warm engine oil and the engine need to be revved in order to warm up the internals properly, when the engine is warm up properly, then the driver can rev the hell out of the engine during the race or qualifying session. Please think before you mock any engineers! And please excuse my shitty English.

  • @M6andC63 Its an external starter. F1 cars have no onboard starter, to save weight and precious space. 

  • I have a question I am new to f1, what is the black thing that they use to start up the engine on the back part ( the thing that looks like a large gun? thank you
