this is my new bedroom 75 gallon setup,so lets break it down.

stand / DIY
filtration / 2X penn-plax Cascade 300 (3oogph each)
powerhead / aquaclear 402 with DIY filter upgrade (270gph)
lighting / 48inch Perfecto single light housing
bulb / 48 inch Aquari-Lux Fluorescent Bulb (40W)
nightlight / DIY moonlight
substrate / quickcrete commercial grade all-purpose sand
rock / texas holey rock (honeycomb limestone)
plants / fake lol

  • Hmm, as far as i know, none of serious aquarists would let the fishes in brand new tank at the same day when it's been started. unless you used the "live" water from another well working matured tank

  • ive done this at least 100 times on new tank setups and havent lost a fish yet. and id say im "serious" since i have about 600gals runnin at my house, not to mention i take care of tanks all over town.

  • WOW you really don't know how to set up a proper fish tank. You know that you need to have the tank setup for at least a week until you add any fish to your tank.

    have you ever even heard of a nitrogen cycle i find it hard to believe youve done this 100 times and not lost a fish.. bullshit

  • bad things happen fast, and that was pretty fast. new fish the first day. thats torture to the fish

  • @aquamaniacZ i got 27 fish in mine and 7 babies in a small tank but with the 27 i change the water once a week and got to internal filters

  • yeah man icant belive those fish r still alive but chichlidz r pretty tuff but still ur just promoting animal abuse n teaching kidz how 2 waste 10 of their hard earned dollars

  • holy shit that tank went from empty to setup and stocked in well under a minute hancock aint got shit on you!
