This nice chess trap, the blackburne schilling trap derives from the Italian game. Instead of developing like normal, black moves his knight twice with Nd4. Black would like for white to fall for the trap and capture the pawn on e5. No matter what white does he will lose material, it's just a matter of how much.

  • Great video as always! Congrats, you're really helping.

    But i think that bringing your bishop to d5 after 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 Nd4 4.Nxe5 Qg5 6.Nxf7 Qxg2 7.Nxh8 Qxh1+ 8.Bf1 Qxe4+ 9.Be2 ... is not a good idea at all.

    Much more better is 9. ... Nxc2+!! because if 10.Qxc2 Qxc2! wining the queen. And if 9. ... Kf1?? Qh1 mate

    Be seeing you!

  • @piouiyutyrterzea1 while i agree that Nxc2 does win material, i think that Bd5 is not only a good idea, but wins the game much faster. Don't get me wrong, both moves are fine and black will win, but I think Bd5 is the better move.

  • Today, I lost to the trap when I took his pawn in the beginning. To be honest, I thought he was an idiot when he moved the knight. :) Was checkmated in 7 moves!

  • lololol 'if he doesnt play queen to g5 he wasnt setting a trap he was just a completely terrible chess player

  • this is what i've noticed

    1.) Nxc2+! is better than Bc5

2.) after Kd8... Ng4! is the correct move for white... Bxg8 is only good for white if Black played Ke7 instead of Kd8...

Anyway, this is just my observation....

  • "If he doesn't play Qg5 he wasn't setting a trap, he was just a completely terrible chess player and you should win easy anyways." hahahah

  • after black move Kd8. white move Ng4... and where is the trap????

  • @thechesswebsite

How should it win faster? After Nxc2 White should resign instantly, he loses the Queen. Thats much faster than a nice attack move.

  • i just raped some guy with this trap, cheers :)

  • 1:25 what he says is kinda pathetic since u allready took on e5 so ur the terrible player nomatter what he plays after that

  • @HarryPotterDude1000 nice story braw
