January 1st plowing in my backyard with a 2004 Suzuki 300 king quad. this was filmed by my wife as I am operating the quad. all the plowing in this video was done in super low range as there was a fair bit of snow to be moved and piled up against the fence. the fence is 4 FT high.

  • what kind of plow system did you use i have one wondering cause im plowing the winter

  • @mrcaveman1234 warn plow complete with their mounts and their electric actuator for raising and lowering it saves the winch and with it i can stack snow 4 feet high.

  • what size plow?

  • 48 inch

  • do you have to plow in super low range?

  • no you generaly do not however at that time I was moving a large amount of snow in a small area thus super low gave me the extra grunt to stack the snow and low speed control for being in a tight area. when i do my drive way i usually use low or mid range first gear anything faster gets more difficult to control and runs the risk of damage due to not being able to stop in time. hope this helps feel free to ask me any questions.

  • the intial install was done at the dealer due to lack of available time to hook up the plow and remove it is fairly simple.yes that was one of the times my wife was a trooper and went out in the cold it was around -30C I think at that time.

  • mostly for the extra grunt power but also it is actullay pretty tight in my back yard so the lower speed helps keep things under control

  • when you get 3-4 feet of snow sometimes, it needs to be done. right now we have around 3 feet 4 inches of snow... and this gent has probally had some fun on his quad the last two weeks or so, due to the extra foot dropped in two seperate occasions... :)
