With sound-equipped diesels you get the full engine start-up sequence on function No. 1. This is longer and more complex on some diesels than on others. The Hymek has a two-tone horn and the loose-coupled wagon sequence as additional functions

  • Fantastic layout! I must say you are a stickler for detail! [Actually, the minimalist thing is IN at the moment!]

  • @tpvalley The problem isn't Youtube -- it's the awful sound quality from the camera that was used to make the video.

  • All the Heljan's look the same to me - their cab mouldings for the 56 47 and hymek all look the same. Nice vid tho.

  • my kind of layout!

  • Does not sound very strong enginewise, try listening to a real Hymek on m.t.s.

  • hi great video

loved the two tone horn and diesl engine sounds,

was this done by means of DCC, or the standard analogue package with sound chips added to the unit,

and again great vid, many thanks for sharing

  • Sorry to say.. It sounds nothing like a Hymek. The horn is at least 3 an octave lower than it should be and it sounds like a sewing machine. Shame really

  • Have you added the sound chip?

  • The sound is swishy on you tube, so cant really judge the sound.

  • Its Bear!
