  • Ba'al Shem Tov is not the name of a traditional dance. It is the name of the initiator of the Chasidic movement in the Jewish ashkenazi religion. This movement is based on expressing the belief in God through happiness, dance, songs, good deeds and joy. The Chasidism was born in Eastern Europe and this song is praising the "father" of Chasidism. The clothes the dancers are wearing and the tune are representative for this movement.

  • Why would anyone celebrate Ba'al, unless repeated death brings about strength in some form. Perhaps it does. Count me out if that is what this dance is about. Ba'al is bull shit, and if Ba'al exists, it is a sort of warfare king kong.
