Lieutenant Andrew Richard Nuttall was killed by an improvised explosive device that detonated during a joint foot patrol near the village of Nakhonay in Panjwaii District, about 25 km southwest of Kandahar City, on December 23, 2009.
Lieutenant Nuttall was from the 1st Battalion Princess Patricias Canadian Light Infantry (1 PPCLI), based in Edmonton, Alberta.

I am an Australian I feel as do all your people who have commented these are very brave heroes who lay down their lives so that we may live in a better world I just wish we here had a highway of heroes.... RIP and may no more lose their lives in these battles
