I wouldn't say great, I would say decent. Great would be like a monkey or a (small) cat.
Even my dog climbed a tree once to join me (scared the shit out of me, she got at 2m from the ground). Its a medium sized hunting breed. Its not because something can climb a tree that its more talented at it than an other animal, I, as a human, can climb much higher than my dog never will, regardless of my weight.
