A cool and ultimately pointless experiment! I hooked up an iPod to a Dalek full of servos and LEDs.

The ipod sends out OSC signals over WiFi to processing which then talks over serial to my Servo Board.

The Dalek moves around when you tilt the ipod/iphone. I am getting the accelerometer data out for this. I also have a turret that can be rotated and some leds that are switch-able.

Check out www.botbuilder.co.uk for more info about the board and other examples.

Also check out my other videos for similar experiments and demos!

  • are you selling him?

  • @alwayson09 I think he should control a cybermen instead, such generous creature that only wishes to help other races to upgrade and they don't even charge us !

  • SIMPLY AMAZING !!!

  • Very amazing, what you have done. However, why must you control such a horrifying "being" that only wishes our extermination. Why don't you control something kind with your accelerometer?

  • DIY segway?

  • could u help me to do that?

  • I think I love this...

This is one of the most ingenuous creations I have ever come across. :-)

  • Nice!
