Netherlands government has said they will NOT stop the uncut version being released in their country should Take-Two wish to do so. However one must consider the potential impact on sales in other PAL regions that may get the "cut" version, if and "uncut" version were released in the Netherlands.

August 24th, Take-Two announce that a newly submitted version of Manhunt 2 has been given the "M" rating by the ESRB in America and will hit US stores on October 31st (wow, what a perfect date, Halloween, makes you wonder did they make a game they knew would be banned on purpose to get the free advertising)

As this video was recorded and uploaded it has been about a week since Manhunt 2 which was due for release on the Wii and PS2 in July 2007 was banned in Ireland and the UK.

This is pure censorship, of course I wouldn't want kids playing this game, but we adults who are over 18 should be given the choice of if we want to play it or not. To deny us that choice is like they are telling us that we don't know how to make choices oursleves

It also received an AO (Adults Only) rating in the US, Nintendo, Song and Microsoft have policies to deny licencing to games that get this rating and stores in America will not stock games with this rating either.

Manhunt was banned because a boy played the game and learned ways to kill people and the boy actually killed his best friend by copying a scene in a game

I'm all for violence in video games and all, but i do kinda get it why it was about to be slapped with a adults only rating, I mean alot of games, mature rated or not, are sorta marketed to kids too, and fuck... manhunt 2 was a little much man. The shit they do in that game was brutal and so detailed! I mean this ain't mortal kombat, a kid really could pick up a razor and stab the shit outta someone dude. I usually ain't the kinda guy to keep a game out of a kid's hands... but damn dude.
