The worst possible ending on Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood.

This particular ending is pretty much impossible to get unless you're DELIBERATELY trying to get it. Anyone who can figure out a way to get to the end can figure out how to avoid this ending. And I'm sure most of you who played it didn't make all the mistakes neccessary to see this ending. So, I decided to put it up for you.

  • Moral of the story?

If Marian dies, so do you.

    THE END.

  • @rabidrabbitshuggers Watch the video "Ending Variations: Conquests of the Longbow" and you might see a different moral to the story.

  • So, Randsom is spelled with a "d" [^ ^]

  • Ah, ha, ha. Yeah, I only now notice the spelling error. Oh, well. Nothing for it now.

  • I love these VGA games by Sierra but have never played this. It seems as hard and great as the Kings Quest games. Is it any legal way to still get this?

  • Not that I know of. I only have it because I had it years ago and used an older computer to convert it to CD. I do know that's its a available as abandonware but I don't think that's what you meant.

  • You know, you CAN get this ending by being kind to everyone and save everyone and just failing to make any money.

It must be a glitch or something, but it's quite typical of that dickhead Richard to ignore ALL of the people's good words and also Marians pleas to trust robin and hang him anyhow.

In true history, King Richard WAS a bastard, he TOLD his brother to tax the people while he went out killing jews and muslims.

this king wasnt as royal as stories made him out to be.

  • So the capitalist intent factors in too I see.

Richard does not appear even once in the Bible and so we must be careful of the person who bears this as his name in real life as I have also come to understand from an elder that almost all such people are actually immoral, untrustworthy and are womanizers.

For safety's sake a Jihad (holy war) must therefore be waged against them until they are tired, they come crawling to us naked, crying and begging for mercy like dogs, or they die before us.

  • Maybe King Richard is the reason why the word "dick" is used as an insult...

  • I didn't realise Bards were so patronising.

  • I knew that this bad ending existed, but I never could bring myself to act the scoundrel when playing this game, so I never saw it until now. I much prefer the happy ending. :)

  • Well, generaly it was accepted that if someone owned some land, they also owned the animals on it, and therefore killing said animals was considerd as stealing, in a sence. (At least, that's what I think.)

It actualy it still in effect to this day: Some farmers in england have been known to charge hunters to shoot on their land, and killing animals on the Queen's land is considered ileagal.

  • I wish i could play this game again...alas i cant find a version for Vista

  • Never mind.

  • Sorry, I accidently clicked thumbs down when I meant to thumbs up you....I do appologise.
