It's not Christianity that produces these ideas. It's an ideology that politicians have. If you ask any prohibitionist here in the US why they oppose marijuana legalization. Their answer isn't because god said using drugs is a sin. Their answer is pot is dangerous, it's a gateway drug that leads to harder drugs, I want to protect the children. It just blows me away how our US government puts people like marc emery away from canada not even united states from something that is not even a crime show me one person harmed by this mans actions..? show me one person who has died from marijuana ? you decriminalize marijuana and make it legal that black market is now gone.. you tax it and use it for hemp as well your going to put all that money back into the economy as well as open up more jobs during this crisis. Now, even if your vote does not help elect the candidate you support in a federal election, that party gets $1.95 per vote they received. That means that even if the Green Party does not win a seat (although they will), your vote will still send them financial support which is also incredibly important because we all know that money talks. This is one more practice the Conservative government is trying to stop in their attempt to block the advancement of parties like the Greens.
