Eco-tourism is big business, but not far behind is radioactive tourism! Especially in Ukraine. Enjoy the eerily empty streets of Pripyat, Ukraine (near Chernobyl)! Take a swim in Lake Karachay (the most polluted spot on the planet)! Fire an AK-47! When it comes to glamming up the worst environmental disasters the world has ever seen, no one does it like Ukraine.

  • Hi there--we did this story especially because we found it amazing that Chernobyl had become a tourist destination, and not a tour in which the focus necessarily was the enormous loss of life. Thank you for watching, although we also add thank you for not sending radioactive material to anyone's address.

  • I went on the Chernobyl tour, yes there is AK-47 shooting. and for an extra charge, you can drive a tank. I have no idea what would link the two but they had it. the food was brought in with us and they said never drink any tap water there. since the radiation made it to the water table. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

  • Isn't she a bit to happy when it comes to talking about a very serious disaster that ocured 30 years ago...ah well it happened so long ago,it don't matter that it destroyed deformed and killed more than 50000 lives >_> ...I'd like to send her something quite radioactive on her home adress....maybe she won't be so fascinated then. Respect towards this disaster, people that live and LIVE there. People please...get some brains.
